PlayStation Room abandoned for PSP

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Room project for the handheld PSP system has been scratched.

No explanation was given for abandoning the project, which would have seen a portable social environment not unlike PlayStation Home on the PS3. The system was currently in beta, but an announcement posted on the project’s website states that PlayStation Room has been cancelled.
