Release: September 1993
In September 1993 Commodore put out the Amiga CD32, mostly as an attempt to save the company's financial status. The console was launched in Europe, but couldn't make it into the United States. The US government forbade Commodore from shipping the consoles in, since it owed $10 million due to a patent violation.

Needless to say, it didn't work out. The Amiga CD32 was discontinued five months later, in February 1994. Commodore declared bankruptcy that April.
