APF Electronics, who had created the UK Pong clone APF TV Fun jumped back into gaming in 1979 with the Imagination Machine.
The APF Imagination Machine merged a personal computer and video game system into one. There were two components of the system, the computer (which was composed of a tape drive and a keyboard) and the detachable APF-M1000 game system. The APF-M1000 was also available seperately.
The APF-M1000 was powered by a 3.5 MHz processor by Motorolla and had 1Kb of RAM. The system output an 8-color display to a television set. The two controllers were attached permenantly to the system.
