Release: September 9, 1999 (9|9|99 as advertised)
The Sega Dreamcast is the first 128-bit system. Four Analog Dreamcast controllers can be attatched to the system.
The Dreamcast also has a built-in 56k modem for online gaming. The modem is also designed to have faster modems attatched as technology progresses.
Facing a large deficit, Sega discontinued the Dreamcast in late 2001 and became a third-party game company.
