Game.com

Release: June 1997

It seems everyone wanted a piece of the Game Boy. Tiger Electronics designed a handheld system to try and beat out Nintendo's little gem in 1997. Unlike the others, however, Tiger decided not to try and out-do the Game Boy graphics. Instead they tried to mimic them. The Game.com features a 2.25 inch LCD screen, with monochrome graphics and no back light.

A unique feature about the Game.com, however, is its touch-sensitive screen. A pen was also included for this purpose, as several games require the player to touch the screen to operate certain items/menus.

The Game.com has 2 cartridge ports to switch between games easily, a link for multiplayer gaming, a calculator, calender, solitare game and an address book. Another feature is voice. Instructions and intros to some games are vocally given to players.

In September 1998, Tiger released the Game.com Pocketpro. It has a slightly smaller screen, with only one cartridge port.
