Sega Genesis CDX

This system could play audio compact discs, Sega CD and Sega Genesis games. The system was compact, small and could even be used as a portable CD player. It was called a Multimedia CD-ROM Entertainment System.

Due to a number of problems with the CDX, Sega 32X games cannot be played on the Sega CDX, instead, the 32X system must be attatched to a seperate Genesis. A shame and expense for CDX owners looking to upgrade. Also the CDX experienced some problems with Sega CD games.
