The Coleco Telstar is essentially a Coleco version of Pong or Tennis. The Telstar sold over 1 million units.
The original Telstar was released in June 1976, but there were several variations of the device released into 1978. Variations included the Telstar Alpha, Telstar Colormatic, Colortron and Gemini.
The Telstar was the first device to use the AY-3-8500 chip from General Instrument, which powered the games.
