[August 15, 2003] - Nintendo is looking on expanding the ways we play video games. In collaboration with ChildLikes Toy Development from Colorado, USA, Nintendo will soon begin a "Robotic Gaming" project.
The concept involves Nintendo's Game Boy Advance and a real-life field where small robotic devices carry out the game action. Nintendo has tried this concept before - the Nintendo Entertainment System had a "Robot Operating Buddy" companion back in 1986. The new plan, though, is a little more complicated.
On a small field, players control these small mechanical 'toys' that play programmed games such as laser-tag and soccer. ChildLikes, who began and head the project hope that Nintendo will help bring a larger library of playable games to the system through the popularity of the Game Boy Advance.
